The mission of the Wellesley Council on Aging is to serve as the primary resource for residents over the age of 60; to empower individuals to reach their goals; to offer comprehensive programs, services, and assistance that optimize quality of life; and to enable meaningful connections and collaborations that inspire a spirit of community across the generations in our town.
Preparing for move to Tolles Parsons Center
Everyone is filled with excitement as we prepare for our move to the Tolles Parsons Center (TPC) at 500 Washington Street! Summer programming is lighter than usual so there is ample time to plan and prepare for the move.
There are no programs scheduled the week of August 28. This is our “transition week” – we expect this to be the week of our physical move to TPC. COA staff will be available by phone and there will be no disruption in transportation services.
The next newsletter will contain more details and information about how to register for a tour. By mid-September, COA programs will roll out at TPC and we expect programming to be in full swing by October. The COA is making plans for a grand opening / community celebration in late October.
