Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) There are several flood zones appearing on different maps. The Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) contains information relative to the administration of the Federal Flood Insurance Program. The FIRM shows land in town within zones A, B and C. Zone A is commonly referred to as land subject to the 100 year flood. Lands within Zone B are between limits of the 100 and the 500 year flood. Lands within Zone C are areas of minimal flooding. The FIRM is on display at the Planning Board Office. Office hours are 8:30-4:30 weekdays. Persons are encouraged to

Flood Plain or Watershed Protection District Section XIVB. of the Wellesley Zoning Bylaw contains the regulations and restrictions governing Flood Plain or Watershed Protection Districts. These districts are shown on maps which are on file at the Planning Board Office and at the Office of the Natural Resources Commission.
Water Supply Protection District Section XIVE. of the Wellesley Zoning Bylaw contains the regulations and restrictions governing Water Supply Protection Districts. These districts are shown on the Wellesley Zoning Map which is available for purchase from the Office of the Town Clerk. A copy of the Zoning Map is on display at the Planning Board Office.
