The Wellesley Municipal Light Plant (WMLP) offer rebates on Refrigerators, Room Air Conditioners, Clothes Washing Machines, Dishwashers, Dehumidifiers and Central Air Conditioners with SEER (seasonal energy efficiency rating) factor 14 or above that are ENERGY STAR labeled appliances. No other appliances are eligible.
To see if an appliance is an Energy Star product visit the website www.energystar.gov. This site will allow you to search and research appliances for ratings.
The WMLP rebate varies per item and is approved by the Municipal Light Board. This fiscal year the rebates are:
· Unit Room Air Conditioner $50
· Dishwasher $75
· Clothes Washing Machine $75
· Refrigerator $100
· Central Air Conditioners with a SEER rate of 14 or above $100
· Dehumidifier $50
There is a limit of two (2) appliances per customer account per fiscal year.
Proof of purchase and installation between January 1, 2007 through December 31, 2007 must be provided to WMLP by:
· Copy of sales receipt – showing installation to account address and;
· Copy of EnergyGuide label (big yellow label) from the appliance with the
EnergyStar logo or a print out from energystar.gov showing that the appliance is
approved and;
· Completed Appliance Rebate Incentive Application and;
· Customer electric account must be active and in good standing and the;
· Completed application and supporting documentation must be received by the
WMLP no later than February 1, 2008.
For Appliances purchased after January 1, 2008 please use the 2008 Appliance Rebate Application. No changes have been made to the program for 2008.
Rebate will be via a check UNLESS the account has arrearage in that case rebate will be applied to the account.
The WMLP reserves the right to cancel this program at anytime.
