The Board of Selectmen held two remote Special Town Meetings beginning on Monday, October 26, 2020. Due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, both meetings were conducted via Zoom videoconferencing as allowed by the Town Moderator.
On February 9, 2021, the Office of the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts approved all Zoning Bylaw Amendments voted at the October Special Town Meeting. Zoning Bylaws are effective as of the date of the Town Meeting vote.
In addition, the Attorney General's Office approved the Town General Bylaw Amendments, Articles 23 and 25. Town Bylaws are effective the date of the publication of notice, February 12, 2021.
The Attorney General's office has extended the decision period for Article 28, the amendment to Ban the Sale of Fur in Wellesley, for an additional 90 days.
