Recycling & Disposal Facility (RDF)

The RDF's Reusable Area will be closing for the seasons on Saturday, December 3rd.

Please consider utilizing the reusable are for pick-up only as dropped-off items not picked-up will be disposed or recycled. Thank you to all of those who participated in the Reusable Area in 2022.

New Waste Ban in Effect November 1, 2022 Textiles & Mattresses added to MassDEP list

Nearly 100% of donated textiles are reused or recycled and are now prohibited from trash disposal.  Mattresses, old T-shirts and socks, footwear, curtains, sheets and stuffed animals. All of these items, and more, can be dropped off at the Wellesley Recycling and Disposal Facility (RDF) giving them a second life and keeping them out of landfills.  Use the RDF's donation containers or contact Big Brother Big Sister to schedule a pickup. Keep these items out of the trash and thank you for recycling!

Important RDF Announcements 

  • Sunday Hours - The RDF is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. 
  • Paint Collection - For information and 2023 schedule, click here
  • Reusables Area - Click here for hours. For a list of acceptable items and a listing of other organizations to donate to please see the Reduce and Reuse page of our website.
  • Household Hazardous Waste Collection - Check back for when the next HHW event will be held or download the RDF App and accept notifications for up to date reminders.    
  • Document Destruction (shredding) - The next shredding event will be Sunday October 2nd 10am to 3 pm.

Please be advised that The Town of Wellesley does not offer trash pick-up services.
