[ARCHIVED] Online Permitting in Building Dept. Begins April 10

Building Dept. Online Permitting

Building in Wellesley? There's a good chance your project will need permits.

Beginning on Wednesday, April 10, all building, electrical, plumbing, and gas fitting permit applications will be available online through the Building Department's new public portal.

The service is part of the Town's partnership with ViewPoint Cloud and makes applying for permits more efficient. Applicants will be able to submit digital attachments (plans, reports, affidavits, etc.), pay via credit card, monitor their application status, and track inspections in real time.

A ViewPoint Cloud account is needed to use this public portal to apply online.

Applicants who have already established an account through another community that uses ViewPoint Cloud (e.g. Westwood, Cambridge, North Andover),  may use that same account in Wellesley. Simply click on the link at top right of the public portal page to Login with your existing credentials.

If you're new to ViewPoint Cloud, click the link at top right of the public portal page to Sign Up, and then select the option to "Register Now" as a new user.

The Building Department is committed to providing customers with a superior experience and ensuring public safety through compliance with all state building/construction, plumbing and electrical laws, and conformance to applicable Town and Zoning Bylaws.

As a reminder, through the ViewPoint Cloud portal, you can also apply online for permits for banners, block parties, yard/garage/estate sales, and for dog licenses.
