Become a citizen scientist and take part in the City Nature Challenge 2019 by documenting wildlife and plants in our community!
Mark your calendars for Friday, April 26 through Monday, April 29, and join the Natural Resources Commission (NRC) and Wellesley Conservation Council for a "bio- blitz" and compete with cities around the world to observe nature, find species and engage citizens.
The process is easy. Find wildlife and/or plants, take a picture and share it with the free iNaturalist app.
Data collection teams will be coordinated at certain Wellesley parks and open spaces throughout the weekend. Join one of many guided walks in Town or go at it alone in your neighborhood park or own backyard.
Want to learn more? Attend an optional informational meeting on Tuesday, April 23 at 6 p.m. in the Wakelin Room of the Wellesley Free Library.
Contact the NRC with questions.
