This legislation allows registered voters to request Vote-By-Mail ballots for the Tuesday, September 1 State Primary Election, the Tuesday, November 3 Presidential Election, and all other elections for 2020.

In addition to the State elections, Wellesley will be conducting a Special Election on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 on the same day as the State Primary Election to fill a vacated Board of Selectmen’s seat. The Town may also hold a debt exclusion election on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 pending a Special Town Meeting approval. All election ballots will be available by mail.

Postage pre-paid Vote-By-Mail applications will be sent to all registered voters on July 15, 2020. Complete these applications and return them to request an official ballot.

Ballot requests may be returned to Wellesley Town Hall via regular mail, may be dropped in the Elections and Payment Drop Box outside of Town Hall (across from the bell), or may be scanned and emailed to Please allow adequate mailing time for these requests to make sure your ballot counts.

Official ballots with pre-paid postage will be mailed three (3) weeks prior to each election. All ballots for the September 1 Elections must be received by 8 p.m. on September 1.  Ballots for the November 3 election must be postmarked by November 3 and received by November 6.
