The Granite Street Reconstruction Project is scheduled to begin in mid August 2020.

Work will be done along the full length of Granite Street, from Sunset Road to Crown Ridge Road. The work is expected to be completed by December 2020.

The project includes full depth replacement of the roadway, and the construction of new sidewalk, ADA ramps, curbing, drainage, and signage. The work is being performed by Richard D’Ambrosia, Inc. and their subcontractors, under the direction of the Wellesley Department of Public Works.

The work will take place Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Police details will be onsite during the project to minimize impacts to traffic and other roadway functions. Drivers are encouraged to use alternative routes during the construction hours.

Erosion control measures and tree removal work are planned for this month. Test pits will be excavated and the stormwater drainage system will be installed.
