The Reopening - July/August
With the start of the new Fiscal Year, we are reopening the Tolles Parsons Center on Thursday, July 1st! While many find this very exciting, we recognize that there are some of us who still have some reservations and anxieties with returning to in-person activities.
The plan for July and August continues to follow our track of slow and steady. While we will be opening the building, we will be continuing fitness classes and lectures on Zoom until the Fall. We hope to offer activities and social opportunities that will meet everyones needs.
So what's new this summer? Many things. We will be holding specific card games as walk-in activities four days a week in the American Legion Room. Does anyone rejoice at the words "Ping Pong?" If so, you are in luck; every Friday we will be holding drop-in Ping Pong in the American Legion Room. Card games not your thing, does Scrabble bring you happiness? Drop-in Scrabble will be held once a week in the Cards & Games Room.
Not really into games, but interested instead in getting a cup of coffee and socializing with friends? Stop by the Café and grab a cup of coffee. We just purchased a new coffee pot, and although the delivery date is not yet confirmed, we hope to have coffee up and brewing by the 15th of July.
Day time activities not your thing? Sign-up for an Al Fresco Night. These evenings are limited to a smaller group of participants and will be offered once in July and once in August. Not a fan of driving at night, not a problem; signup for a ride on our COA Bus. Our drivers will pick you up for the event and bring you home afterwards!

Activities shown above and listed below are generally setup in blocks of time of either AM (9 AM - 12:30 PM) or PM (12:30 PM to 4 PM), unless listed otherwise.
While there appears to be lots of space and gaps in the room usage, please note that as we continue to develop programming and activities into the Fall, we will be using more space and will be working to strategically plan our space use.
The drop-in concept described above means that, unless listed otherwise (Lunch, Tuesdays on the Patio, and IT), most activities are drop-in during those times blocks listed.

Tuesdays on the Patio (Wellesley Residents Only)In May and June, our facilitated discussions with our social worker, Kate Burnham, were very popular. These discussions will return in July and August, with a few changes. They will still be offered on the Patio from 11 AM- 12 PM; in the event of inclement weather the group(s) will meet in the Lee Conference Room upstairs.
