Day Trip to the Newport Flower Show

We are excited to announce our first upcoming day trip since the pandemic to the Newport Flower Show on Friday, June 17, 2022. Due to the generous sponsorship of the Wellesley COA and offsetting some costs with our activities budget, we can offer this trip at the rate of $25 per person for our Wellesley residents.
Trip Description: Come join us for the annual Newport Flower Show, entitled "Eden: A Personal Paradise" which will once again grace the elegant reception rooms and picturesque oceanfront lawn of Rosecliff, with judged floral designs, horticulture, education programs, lectures, and demonstrations, and much more. We will enjoy lunch at the Atlantic Resort, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and Newport's Easton Pond. You will have your choice of either Baked Stuffed Scrod or Chicken Picatta. Enjoy some free time, downtown before we depart home.
Who is eligible: This trip is currently open to Wellesley seniors over the age of 60. We have 50 spaces available. If we have additional spaces available, we will open the trip up at a full cost to non-Wellesley seniors.
Cost: There is a $25 fee per person that is due at the time of registration.
What's Included in the Price: Roundtrip transportation, admission to the Newport Flower Show, and Lunch.
Document Requirements: Admission to the Flower Show requires showing proof of COVID-19 Vaccination.
Travel Information: We will Depart at 8:15 a.m. from the Wellesley Community Center (219 Washington Street) and return approximately around 5:45 p.m.
How to Register: Registration can be done in person by calling (781) 235-3961 or by stopping in in person. Trip is non-refundable unless canceled by te tour operator.
