RIDE THE COA BUS AND ASSIST SHOPPERS WITH THEIR GROCERY BAGS
We have two volunteer opportunities to ride the COA Bus to assist the bus driver and the riders with their groceries. This is also a fun opportunity to socialize with the shoppers riding the bus.
1. Assist Bus Driver with Roche Bros Grocery Delivery - This position involves riding the COA Bus and helping the COA Bus Driver assist passengers getting off and on the bus for the weekly grocery shopping trips to Roche Brothers. The volunteer meets the bus at 9:50 am in the Roche Bros parking lot to pick up passengers who are done with their shopping. The volunteer also helps the passengers by helping them bring their groceries to their front door. Volunteers are asked to commit to a regular schedule on either Wednesday or Friday mornings. Trips are typically completed by 12:30 pm.
2. Assist Bus Driver with Food Pantry Deliveries - This position involves riding the COA Bus and helping the COA Bus Driver assist passengers getting off and on the bus for the weekly grocery shopping trip to The Wellesley Food Pantry.
