Special Town Meeting:
Hardy and Upham

At the Special Town Meeting on Tuesday October 2, 2018, the School Committee and the Board of Selectmen will ask for $2.5 million, to be expended under the direction of the School Building Committee and the Permanent Building Committee, for feasibility and schematic design for the Hardy/Upham elementary school project. The Town intends to execute this project in partnership with the Massachusetts School Building Authority.

Special Election to fill Two Precinct C Town Meeting Member Vacancies

In accordance with  CHAP. 202 OF THE ACTS OF 1932, AS AMENDED, Section 2, 8 and 8a, due to two Town Meeting Member resignations, Precinct C will elect new Town Meeting Members on October 2, 2018 at the Wellesley Middle School Auditorium Lobby at 6:40 pm, to serve until the next annual election.  

Town Meeting Members, or others, should nominate candidates for this position on or before Tuesday September 25 so that ballots can be prepared.  Nominations (name, address and email address if available) should be in writing or by email to KC Kato, Town Clerk, Wellesley Town Hall, 525 Washington Street, Wellesley, MA 02482 or kckato@wellesleyma.gov.

Nominee’s permission should be secured in advance. Any resident may propose nominations. A candidate may propose him/herself.

As of today, approximately 30% of Town Meeting Members have signed up to participate in the Town Meeting Forum Google Group.  There is still time to sign up to receive emails from the community.

The Town Meeting Member Forum is a Google Group established to facilitate communications between Town Meeting Members and the general public regarding issues coming before Town Meetings. Participation by Town Meeting Members is encouraged, however, it is at the discretion of each Town Meeting Member and the public to decide whether or not to join the group and how much to participate.
