The Department of Public Works is completing summer street resurfacing in the next few days.
Crews will be applying the final layer of cape seal to Wellesley roadways on Friday, August 19 and Monday, August 22 beginning at 7 a.m.
Work will take place on these specific streets: Woodside Avenue (South), South Woodside Avenue, Frost Circle, Boulder Brook Road, Cavanagh Road, Ingersoll Road, Woodland Road, Rutgers Road, Buckingham Terrace, Eisenhower Circle, Allen Road, Alden Road, Ordway Road, Prescott Street, Sawyer Road, Cypress Road, Bobolink Road, Bluebird Road, Redwing Road, Oriole Road, and Standish Road.
Cars may not park on these roads from 7 a.m. until the work is completed. Due to the cape sealing process, no water can be on the roads prior to or during this work. Homeowners should turn off sprinkler systems and avoid washing cars.
Slight delays are expected while the work is performed. Streets will reopen to normal traffic one hour after the cape seal application is done.
