Work is nearly complete on the Walnut Street reconstruction project.
According to the Department of Public Works (DPW), the intermediate pavement layer is done and final roadway paving is scheduled for Tuesday, October 3 through Thursday, October 5.
Work will take place during the overnight hours between 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. and should be completed by Friday, October 6, weather permitting.
Drivers should expect road closures, detours, and traffic delays during these hours. Wellesley Police Department officers will be in place to assist drivers and pedestrians.
Please allow extra time or use alternate routes when traveling in this area during the paving period.
