NEW! Curbside Composting Pilot Program
The Wellesley Department of Public Works is offering a curbside composting pilot program with Black Earth Compost. This partnership gives residents an additional choice to dispose of food waste, for a monthly fee.
Interested households can pre-register with Black Earth; the first 250 homes to sign up will get a free compost toter. If you sign up to participate, Black Earth will pick up food waste at your curb every Wednesday. You'll also receive a voucher for a free bag of compost each year you participate in the program.
This pilot program is in addition to the current RDF no-cost food waste recycling program.
