Town of Wellesley departments and offices will be closed on Wednesday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth.
The Recycling and Disposal Facility (RDF) will also be closed that day, as will the Tolles Parsons Center/Council on Aging, and all branches of the Wellesley Free Library.
Juneteenth, officially Juneteenth National Independence Day, is celebrated annually on June 19 and commemorates the end of slavery in the United States.
Regular business hours resume on Thursday, June 20.
Please remember that Wellesley Town Hall departments, currently located at 888 Worcester Street, close at 12 p.m. on Fridays during the months of June, July, and August.
