Wellesley students head back to school in two weeks on Wednesday, August 28.
The Town is urgently looking for dependable individuals to work part-time as school crossing guards and make sure children arrive safely. You do not need to be a Wellesley resident, but must have a flexible schedule and be available in the mornings and afternoons.
On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, the morning shift is from 7:55 a.m. to 8:25 a.m. and the afternoon shift is generally from 3:05 p.m. to 3:35 p.m. On Wednesday, the afternoon shift is from 12:05 p.m. to 12:35 p.m.
Crossing guards are paid $18.39/hour plus a $7.50 stipend for each shift. Locations vary and are determined by the Wellesley Police Department. Fresh air and smiling children's faces are included!
This opportunity is excellent for individuals who are retired or at home and would like part-time work.
