Congratulations to Wellesley's new Assistant Fire Chief Charles "Chuck" DiGiandomenico, who was promoted to his new role in early March.
An experienced fire fighter who's served the Town for more than 25 years, Chuck was previously a Deputy Fire Chief and has been involved in all aspects of fire emergencies and rescu
e operations.
He was sworn in by Town Clerk KC Kato in front of a large crowd in the Great Hall during the Select Board meeting on Tuesday, March 11. His father, retired WFD Lieutenant Charlie DiGiandomenico, pinned on his son's new badge.
Chuck is replacing current Assistant Fire Chief Nat Brady who is retiring this year. Pictured below are Chuck with Town Clerk KC Kato, his family (wife Lauren and daughters Jordan, Mia, and Charlee), and members of the Select Board.
The Fire Department promoted two other officials during the meeting. Firefighter Matthew Tedeschi was promoted to Lieutenant, and Lieutenant Ian McMakin was promoted to Deputy Fire Chief.
Congratulations to all three individuals and thank you for your work protecting our community.
