Wellesley businesses can expect personal property inspections in the coming weeks in order to determine assessed value.
The Board of Assessors has hired Real Estate Research Consultants (RRC) from North Andover to conduct this work for all businesses in Town as of January 1, 2025.
Inspections started August 18 and will continue through the end of September.
Representatives from RRC will have IDs and authorization letters; inspections typically last 10-15 minutes.
All taxable items will be hand-written on an inspection sheet and businesses can request copies. Inspectors will not take photos or videos.
