Select Board Office Hours on September 9
Sign up to speak with Select Board member Colette Aufranc on Tuesday, September 9 between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Appointments are available in-person or on Zoom. Please email Colette directly to reserve your time, and indicate if you prefer in-person or Zoom. You'll receive a reply confirming your time. In-person appointments will be in the Juliani Room on the 1st Floor of Town Hall.

September 11 Ceremony
The community is invited to attend the annual September 11 ceremony on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Wellesley Fire Department Headquarters (457 Worcester Street). Please join our first responders, Town leaders, and members of our houses of faith to remember and honor the fallen and the heroes of that tragic day 24 years ago. 

Morses Pond Beach & Bathhouse Project
Work continues on the redesign of the Morses Pond Beach and Bathhouse Project to improve the infrastructure and make the area more accessible to all residents. This is a collaborative project between the NRC, the Morses Pond Beach Advisory Committee (MoPoBAC), and the Recreation Department. The Supplemental Morses Pond Feasibility Study report from consultants Weston & Sampson will be posted on the NRC webpages this week. The findings will be discussed at the virtual MoPoBAC meeting on Monday, September15, and citizens who would like to join that meeting may register in advance using the   meeting Zoom link.

49 Walnut Street Public Hearing 
The Planning Board will hold a virtual public hearing on Thursday, September 11 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss a proposed multi-family structure and parking garage at 49 Walnut Street. This is a project of significant impact (PSI) and requires a special permit. Find information and materials about the project on the Planning Department webpages.  The Zoom registration link will be posted on the meeting agenda by Tuesday morning. 

Wellesley Cultural Council Grants
The application period is now open to apply for grant funding from the Wellesley Cultural Council (WCC). This year the WCC has $8,200 to support community-based programs that enrich the cultural life in Wellesley. The deadline to apply is October 16, 2025. Email the Cultural Council for more information, and learn more about previous grants on the WCC webpages. 

COVID-19 Vaccines & Flu Vaccines
A reminder that eligible individuals who would like to get the COVID-19 vaccine this fall can schedule appointments at pharmacies like CVS and Walgreens. These shots are covered by insurance according to guidelines recently enacted by the Governor. The Health Department does NOT administer the COVID vaccine. Local health officials are also encouraging people to get the flu shot. Flu clinics in Wellesley are scheduled for October. Read more public health information on the Health Department webpages.
