The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) will close ramps from I-90 eastbound and westbound to I-95 (Route 128) southbound in Newton and Weston overnight on Sunday, September 21.
The closure will be in place from 11:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. the following morning.
Drivers seeking to access I-95 southbound from I-90 eastbound and westbound will be rerouted to I-95 northbound, taking exit 41 to reverse direction and continue onto I-95 southbound.
This closure is necessary for crews to safely conduct construction operations related to the Newton/Weston bridge rehabilitation project at I-90/I-95 interchange.
Drivers traveling through these areas should expect delays and reduced speeds. Please use caution. Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and advanced message boards will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.
