Expect major road closures and traffic detours from Sunday night, September 28 through Thursday afternoon, October 2 for milling and paving work on Weston Road. This phase will require both night and day work, with milling taking place overnight and paving taking place during the day. Roads will be closed to all vehicles except for residents who live on Weston Road, school buses, and deliveries.
The schedule for the work is below:
- Sunday, September 28, Monday, September 29, Tuesday, September 30 from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Milling begins. Crews will remove three to six inches of pavement from the existing roadway, beginning at Route 9 and going north to the Weston town line. Pavement transitions will be established so local residents, buses, deliveries, and emergency vehicles will have access.
- Tuesday, September 30 through Thursday, October 2 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Paving begins. Crews will begin paving the milled areas beginning at Route 9 and going north to the Weston town line.
- If Needed! Friday, October 3 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Transitional paving for curb cuts, driveways, etc. if needed.
