Wellesley municipal buildings will be closed on Tuesday, November 11 for Veterans Day. The Recycling and Disposal Facility (RDF) and Wellesley Free Libraries will also be closed.
Regular business hours will resume on Wednesday, November 12. Please check department webpages for specific times.
Veterans Day Ceremony
The community is invited to attend a ceremony honoring all Veterans on Tuesday, November 11 at 11:00 a.m. in front of the War Memorial at Wellesley Town Hall on Washington Street. Rain location is the Great Hall at Wellesley Town Hall.
The event will recognize retired military personnel, and includes the Wellesley Police and Fire Department honor guards, members of American Legion Post 72, and with a keynote address by Wellesley resident Tavish Gould.
Lt. Commander Gould served as a U.S. Navy fighter pilot until 2025, and in 2022 was named the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps F-35 Pilot of the Year. He's a graduate of the U.S. Navy Fighter Weapons School (known as TOPGUN) and led combat missions across Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria.
