Volunteer to serve on the Town Audit Committee!
There is a vacant seat on the Town Audit Committee that must be filled by the Town Moderator. Wellesley residents with accounting or financial expertise are encouraged to apply.
This committee meets approximately four times a year; the five-member board is responsible for appointing an independent CPA (individual or firm) to perform an annual audit of the Town's financial statements and define the scope of the auditor's assignment.
The Audit Committee also reviews the completed audit findings and recommendations with the appropriate boards and/or Town departments.
Committee members are appointed for a term of two years, for not more than two consecutive terms.
