[ARCHIVED] December 7 Special Election Information

download

Wellesley will hold a Special Election on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 to consider a debt exclusion to build two new elementary schools.

Construction of a new Hunnewell Elementary School and a new Hardy Elementary School was approved at Special Town Meeting in October.

Voters will be asked to consider two separate questions on the ballot to exempt from Proposition two-and-a-half the amounts required to pay for the bonds needed to build both schools. Read the signed Special Election warrant here. Copies of the warrant are posted in the Town Clerk's office and at the Wellesley Police Department.

Residents can use the Town's tax impact estimator to estimate the maximum annual property tax impact of these building projects. Calculations are based on Fiscal Year 2021 assessed valuation of properties.
