Roadway and sidewalk work on the Bacon Street Bridge Replacement Project resumes on Monday, March 21.
The construction is part of the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MBTA) program to modernize its systems and improve safety for all riders.
Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day. Traffic on Bacon Street will be detoured. A signed detour route will be in place and a detour map can be viewed on the project website.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area during work hours or seek alternate routes to avoid delays.
The work is expected to continue for six to eight weeks.
