[ARCHIVED] Wellesley Ave & Forest Street Paving

The Wellesley Police Department wants you to be aware of the following road work done by the Department of Public Works that will impact traffic on Forest Street and Wellesley Ave (Babson College) this week.  


Paving Advisory for the area of Forest St. and Wellesley Ave. – Thursday September 6th and Friday September 7th


Thursday September 6th:


Forest St. between Wellesley Ave. and the Needham line will be paved on Thursday Sept. 6th.  Paving will take place from 9A – 5P.  One lane of traffic will be maintained to allow northbound traffic on Forest St. from Needham to flow into Wellesley.  Traffic using Forest St. to enter Needham will be detoured east onto Wellesley Ave. and then south onto Brookside Rd. and into Needham.  Babson College traffic -please use the West Gate -  Wellesley Ave. entrance.

Friday September 7th:

Wellesley Ave. between Forest St. and Great Plain Ave. will be paved.  Paving will take place from 9A – 5P.  Wellesley Ave. will be closed between the Great Plain Ave. traffic circle and Forest St.  Residents of Wellesley Ave. will have limited access based on the area of Wellesley Ave. being paved at that particular moment.  Detail Officers will assist with access for local residents.  All other traffic will be detoured around the area via Seaver St. and Forest St. 

Babson College traffic should use the main entrance on Forest St.
