The MetroWest Regional Transit Authority (MWRTA) is launching a revised Route 1 bus schedule in Wellesley beginning on Monday, September 25.
The changes are intended to improve service for bus riders and include:
- Adjustments to timing throughout the schedule to allow for more consistent spacing between runs.

- The addition of a new stop at Cross Street in Wellesley Square when travelling inbound.
- No stops at Banana Lot and Flutie Pass on the first outbound morning run.

The Route 1 bus operates as a commuter service along Route 9 (Worcester Street) between Framingham and the Woodland T station with three stops in Wellesley. Along with the new Cross Street stop, other Route 1 bus pick up and drop off locations in Wellesley are Babson College and MassBay Community College.
On return trips, the Route 1 bus follows the reverse route from the Woodland T station through Wellesley. Please note: Bus service is reduced or unavailable on certain holidays.
Bus fares may be paid in cash, with the MWRTA CatchCard, or with a monthly bus pass.
