The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing upcoming overnight closures of the ramp from I-95 northbound (Route 128) exit 39B to I-90 eastbound and westbound in Newton and Weston.
This ramp will be closed nightly from Tuesday, March 18, through Friday, March 21 from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. and on Friday night, March 21 to Saturday morning, March 22 from 10:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
Drivers seeking to access I-90 eastbound and westbound from I-95 northbound (Route 128) will be rerouted to I-95 north (Route 128), where they can take exit 41 to reverse direction to I-95 southbound (Route 128) and then exit 39A.
This closure is necessary for crews to safely conduct construction operations related to the Newton/Weston bridge rehabilitation project at the I-90/I-95 (Route 128) interchange.
Drivers traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and advanced message boards will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.
