Help brighten Wellesley's traffic boxes!
Artists are encouraged to submit proposals for the Spring 2025 round of the Wellesley Traffic Box Art Program. This year's application is available online.
The deadline to apply is Friday, May 16, 2025 at 4:00 p.m.
The traffic box locations for this spring are:
- Weston Road at Hardy Elementary
- Washington Street at Warren Park
- Washington Street and Glen Road
Both amateur and professional artists are invited to submit proposals. Participants do NOT have to be Wellesley residents.
Selected artists for the Traffic Box Art Program will receive a $1,000 stipend, per location, to cover time, transportation, and supplies. This program is funded through donations to the Wellesley Police Department.
The artists will be announced on May 30, and painting will take place during the months of June, July, and August.
