Mark your calendars for two upcoming community events.
Rules of the Ride is Sunday, June 8
Grab a bike and join the Rules of the Ride bike event for 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. Meet at the Wellesley High School parking lot at 10 a.m. for this FREE bike safety workshop hosted by the Town.
Learn learn critical skills to help kids ride safely and legally to school and throughout Wellesley. Participants will have helmets and bikes checked for proper fit, and will join the Wellesley Police Department for a guided ride along the Brook Path.
Space is limited - register through the Wellesley Recreation Department. Please bring your own bike and helmet.
Climate Cafe is Thursday, June 12
Drop by the Climate Cafe to learn how to save resources and reduce your carbon footprint. The Cafe takes place at the Wellesley Free Library from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Attendees can speak with an energy coach and learn about how to lower energy use, increase your property value, landscape sustainably, and more.
Representatives from the MetroWest Regional Transit Authority (MWRTA) will be available to answer questions about the Route 1 bus and the Catch Connect.
And enjoy coffee and treats from new Wellesley bakery Le Petit Four.
This event is hosted by the Climate Action Committee, the Wellesley Free Library, and Sustainable Wellesley.
Final Days for Mode Shift Challenge
The Mode Shift Challenge continues through Monday, June 16.
Get out of the car and explore ways to get around Wellesley by taking public transit, walking, or biking. Submit pictures of your travels to be entered into a drawing to win prizes. Read the Mode Shift Challenge details.
