Heat Advisory
A heat advisory is in effect for our area from Monday, June 23 - Friday, June 27. As temperatures and humidity climb during the summer months, the Health Department is sharing tips to help people and pets stay safe in the heat.
- Stay hydrated
- Wear light, loose-fitting clothing
- If possible, stay indoors during the hottest part of the day
- Do not leave children or animals in vehicles
- Limit strenuous outdoor activities
- Wear sunscreen
- Understand the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke
Morses Pond Summer Season Starts
The summer season at Morses Pond begins on Monday, June 23. The pond is open seven days a week with lifeguards on duty from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and park rangers on duty from 5 p.m. to dusk. Visit the Recreation Department webpages for season pass and day pass information, BBQ and watercraft rental, and parking information. .
Select Board Office Hours
Speak with Select Board member Beth Sullivan Woods on Wednesday, June 25. Beth is holding office hours via Zoom from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or at a mutually agreed time. Please email bsullivanwoods@wellesleyma.gov for a 15-minute appointment time.
Board of Public Works Vacancy
The BPW is looking for a volunteer for fill a vacant seat. Applications are due on Thursday, June 26. Candidates should be an infrastructure advocate interested in joining a Board that prides itself on providing excellent experiences across multiple critical services to Wellesley residents. The term runs from July 1 through the March 2026 Annual Town Election.
DPW Consumer Confidence Report
The DPW Drinking Water Consumer Confidence report for 2024 is now available will be posted online on the Town website by Monday, June 30. Printed copies are also available. Please email dpw@wellesleyma.gov or call 781-235-7600 to request a printed report.
Weston Road Reconstruction Project
Work continues on the Weston Road Reconstruction project. Crews are currently replacing the water main between Boulder Brook and Pine Plain Roads. Work is expected to begin at 7 a.m. No major detours are expected at this time. For questions or concerns, please contact the Wellesley Police Department at 781-235-1212.
Mode Shift Challenge REMINDER!
The Wellesley Mode Shift Challenge ends on Monday, June 30. Make sure to submit photos of yourself trying different modes of transit in Wellesley. Challenge winners will be announced in July.
