The Attorney General's office has approved amendments to Wellesley's Zoning Bylaw for Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) that were passed by 2025 Annual Town Meeting.
This decision was announced on July 29, 2025, but the zoning bylaw amendments are effective as of April 15, 2025, which is the date Town Meeting approved Article 40.1.
Concerns about the validity of Zoning Bylaw amendments may be submitted within 90 days of this posting, or by October 27, 2025.
Earlier this month, the AG's office issued approvals for General Town Bylaws and Zoning Bylaws, other than the ADU decision.
