Indigenous Peoples' Day
A reminder that Town offices, schools, libraries, and the RDF are closed on Monday, October 13 for Indigenous Peoples' Day. Regular business resumes on Tuesday, October 14; please check the Twon website for specific department hours.
Heat Pump Forum & Pizza Party
Join the Climate Action Committee and Wellesley Municipal Light Plant for a Heat Pump Forum & Pizza Party on Thursday, October 16 from 6:30-8:30pm at the Wellesley Free Library. Hear from heat pump experts, Town staff, and neighbors about how heating and cooling your home with electric heat pumps can lower your energy bills and carbon footprint. REMINDER: Sign up for Facilitated Dialogues on Belonging
Join the Wellesley Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Task Force and the Wellesley Civil Discourse Initiative for "Many Traditions, One Community: A Conversation About Belonging in Wellesley,," a facilitated dialogue discussing how we come together to celebrate and observe cultural and religious traditions in our community. Two dialogue sessions on this topic are planned, with the same content and format, in-person on Monday, October 27 at 6:00 p.m. and on Zoom on Thursday, October 30 at 6:30 p.m. Space is limited, so please sign up in advance using the registration form. The sign up deadline is Friday, October 17 at 5:00 p.m.
Share comments on MassBay Development Proposal
The community may share comments on a MassBay Community College proposal to sell a 45-acre parcel of land owned by the college to a developer for housing development. This proposal is coming forward under the Massachusetts Affordable Homes Act which prohibits the Town from imposing resrictions on the development of housing.
