Hot temperatures didn't keep Wellesley's senior residents from enjoying hamburgers and hot dogs last week at the Council on Aging (COA) annual summer BBQ.
For the 5th year in a row, the COA and the Wellesley Police Department teamed up for this favorite summer event. Officers grilled, prepared and served food to more than 75 attendees at the Tolles Parsons Center.
The event was planned and organized by the Wellesley Patrolman’s Union and especially Officer Tim Barros, Union president, and Officer Matt Wall, Elder Affairs officer, in partnership with the COA.
In the pictures below, siblings David and Janet Armstrong dressed up for the BBQ; Mary Snow celebrated her birthday with Officer Tim Barros; and Animal Control Officer Sue Webb chatted with Dwin and John Schuler.
