What can Wellesley do to prepare for the risks of climate change?
Share your thoughts at a public meeting on Tuesday, December 3rd from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Kingsbury Room at the Wellesley Police Department.
The meeting will take place unless there is a severe weather situation.
Recently, Town staff and community leaders participated in two workshops to identify and prioritize actions that will help our community build resiliency and reduce our risks against climate change.
The workshops are part of the State's Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) grant program.
Wellesley was accepted into the MVP program in July, and will be eligible for more State grants once our vulnerability assessment report is submitted and accepted.
The public meeting is intended to help residents understand the climate hazards identified in Wellesley and the solutions that were suggested in the MVP workshops.
Residents are encouraged to offer their own ideas and give input.
To help organizers better prepare for the meeting, if you plan to attend, please RSVP in advance to the Natural Resources Commission.
