The Board of Public Works (BPW) is considering a proposal to name its meeting room after former member David A.T. Donohue.
Donohue served on the BPW for 25 years from March 1994 to November 2019 and was board chair for many years until he moved out of the community.
A public hearing on the boardroom name is planned for March 3 at 5:35 p.m. during a regular BPW meeting.
Citizens may comment on the proposal in person, by emailing the Department of Public Works, or by a letter mailed to: Board of Public Works, 20 Municipal Way, Wellesley, MA 02481.
All municipal buildings, offices, meeting rooms, etc. in Wellesley are public assets. According to the Town of Wellesley bylaws, Town boards must follow a specific process to name public assets.
