Wellesley's October 2020 Special Town Meetings ended on Wednesday, October 28 following three nights of discussion. 
Due to the ongoing pandemic, Special Town Meeting #1 and Special Town Meeting #2 were held via the Zoom video platform.
In Special Town Meeting #1, Town Meeting Members approved funding for the Wellesley Middle School Building Systems project.
In Special Town Meeting #2, Town Meeting Members considered and voted on multiple articles relating to Town operating and capital appropriations, policy modifications, and Zoning and General bylaw amendments.
Members also approved a resolution on Climate Change, changing the name of the Board of Selectmen to Select Board, and an amendment to the Town bylaws that will ban the sale of animal fur products in Wellesley.

The Select Board is currently discussing dates for Annual Town Meeting which generally takes place during the end of March and beginning of April.
