Stormwater Utility Fee Schedule

Barring exceptions outlined in the Stormwater Utility Fee Rules and Regulations , the stormwater fee is charged to all developed parcels in Wellesley. This includes residential and commercial properties, as well as non-profit and tax exempt properties.

Starting in July 2024, the stormwater fee will appear as a line item on monthly water, sewer and electric bills.  By the end of June 2024, all existing utility customers will have received this letter announcing the new charge that may appear on their bill.  For customers who do not currently receive a water, sewer, or electric bill from the town, a new monthly bill with the stormwater fee will be sent. 

The current fee schedule for FY2025 is shown below. The fee schedule must be adopted by the Board of Public Works and will be examined on an annual basis. The stormwater fee is calculated using a base unit called an Equivalent Residential Unit (ERU). This was determined by calculating the average impervious area of all single family residential parcels.
