The Health Department has been notified of a confirmed case of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in an adult resident in Wellesley.
This individual is isolated at home, but is a parent of children who attend Upham Elementary School and Wellesley Middle School. These children are showing no symptoms and are healthy.
As a precautionary measure, Wellesley Public Schools (WPS) has released students early at Upham and WMS in order to fully clean and sanitize both buildings.
All other Wellesley Public Schools will complete the day on a regular schedule.
The Wellesley Health Department is continuing to work closely with Wellesley Public Schools, Town officials and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (Mass DPH) on this issue.
