[ARCHIVED] Drop Off Your Ballots

Election 2020

Make sure your Vote-by-Mail ballot is counted! The Town Clerk’s office is encouraging voters to drop off ballots for the 2020 Election on Tuesday, September 1.

Due to concerns over possible mail delays, local and State election officials are recommending that voters hand-deliver Vote-by-Mail ballots to drop boxes. Wellesley ballots should be placed in the Town’s new, large ballot and payment drop box at Town Hall, located across from the bell at the Washington Street entrance. Ballot box 2

This locked box is checked every hour each day by Town Hall staff. Ballots may be dropped off at any time between now and Election Day. No postage is needed for dropped off ballots.

Please note: On Election Day (September 1) all ballots must be in the drop box by 8:00 PM. Late ballots will not be counted.

Wellesley is holding a dual election. Voters are casting separate ballots for both the State Primary and the Board of Selectmen Special Election.

All applications for Vote-by-Mail ballots have been processed and mailed to residents. If you have requested a Vote-by-Mail ballot and not received it, please check with your mail carrier.

If you have NOT requested Vote-by-Mail ballot and would like to do so, please contact the Clerk’s Office.

Vote-by-Mail ballots also may be delivered to the Early In-Person voting location at the Tolles Parsons Center (500 Washington Street). However, this location is only checked twice a day.

Complete 2020 Election information is available on the Town Clerk’s webpages
