[ARCHIVED] Vote on September 1, 2020

Election 2020

Wellesley is holding a dual election on Tuesday, September 1, 2020.

Residents are casting ballots by mail or in person. There are two separate ballots, one for the State Primary and another for the Town Special Election to fill a vacant seat on the Board of Selectmen.

Completed Vote-by-Mail ballots should be returned in-person to the secure ballot and payment drop off box in front of Town Hall. To be counted, ballots must be dropped off no later than 8 p.m. on September 1. Vote-by-Mail ballots may not be returned to polling locations.

It is too late to mail Vote-by-Mail ballots as they will not be received in time and will not be counted.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day for In-Person Voting. Safety precautions will be in place for voters and poll workers.

Due to Coronavirus regulations, all polling locations are now located at non-school sites.

Precinct locations that have CHANGED are:

  • Precincts A (Bates), B (Sprague) and C (Upham) vote at the Municipal Light Plant at 4 Municipal Way.
  • Precincts D (Schofield) and E (Fiske) vote at the Warren Building at 90 Washington Street.
  • Precinct F (Dana Hall) votes at the Wellesley Village Congregational Church at 2 Central Street.

There are NO CHANGES to these precincts:

  • Precinct G votes at the Wellesley Free Library at 530 Washington Street.
  •  Precinct H votes at the Tolles Parsons Center - Council on Aging at 500 Washington Street.

With the postive response to the Vote-by-Mail campaign from Wellesley residents, Town officials are expecting higher than usual voter turnout.
