Camp Q

camp q 2024

Camp Q is our traditional day camp for children entering grades 2 - 7 in the Fall of 2024. Daily activities include arts and crafts, sports, science and more.  All of our summer camps are licensed by the Wellesley Board of Health. Payment Options

FULL PAYMENT: Full payment for all sessions is due by July 1, 2024 (*except installment billing*). All registrations after July 1, 2024 are paid in full at time of registration.

INSTALLMENT BILLING: (auto-debit payment plan): You must put down a $50 deposit per week with registration. The remaining amount will be divided into 4 equal payments which will be auto-debited from your card on the 1st of each month until payment is complete. 

Staff

All Sr. Counselors are 18 or older and all Jr. Counselors are 14 or older and both attend an orientation session that includes First Aid & CPR training. Each counselor is CORI/SORI checked each year.

RATIOS:  A maximum of 100 campers for Camp Q. Camp staff ratios meet state regulations. 

Field Trips

Field trips are typically within an hour to two drive from camp. If you do not want your child to attend a field trip, you must arrange to keep your child out of camp that day. Camp Q field trips are on Tuesdays and Thursdays, weather permitting.  Campers will receive a camp T-shirt to wear on field trips.

7/5 - Crabapple Whitewater Rafting * (campers must be a minimum of 8 years old by the day of this trip to attend. If your child is under 8 or wishes to not go Whitewater rafting, we are working on an alternative trip for that day for those children). This is also a long trip day as we typically leave before 7am and return after 5pm. 

7/9 -Chunky's Theater

7/11 - Six Flags - This trip will return closer to 5pm so that we can maximize our time at the park. 

7/16 -

7/18 - Water Country - This trip will return closer to 5pm so that we can maximize our time at the park. 

7/23 - United Skates of America

7/25 - Cape Cod Inflatables - This trip will return closer to 5pm so that we can maximize our time at the park. 

7/30 - 

8/1 - Canobie Lake - This trip will return closer to 5pm so that we can maximize our time at the park.

EXTENDED DAY: We offer an extended AM option from 8:15 - 9am and also an extended PM option from 4 - 5pm. Cost is $25 per week. 

MORSES POND: Campers will be bused to Morses Pond to swim and play three days per week, weather permitting. All campers must pass a swim test performed by the Morses Pond staff in order to swim in the deep water area. Camp Q campers are required to wear PFD's (personal flotation devices) which are provided by the camp if they do not pass the swim test.

WHAT TO BRING: Each camper should bring two snacks (nut free), lunch and reuseable water bottle daily. Refrigeration is provided except for field trips. Campers should bring a swim suit, towel, change of clothes, and sunscreen everyday.

CAMP FORMS:  CampDocs is a safe and efficient way to collect all the forms required for summer camp. All Health forms, permission slips, authorization to administer medications, and immunization records, must be filed electronically at www.CampDocs.com. Shortly after registration with the Recreation Department, you will receive an email from CampDocs asking you to log in and access your account. If you have any trouble uploading or scanning any documents you may bring them to the Recreation Office for assistance.
