The Town of Wellesley and the State of Massachusetts have a shared vision to combat climate change. Both recently launched awareness campaigns aimed at empowering people through specific actions.
The State's "Climate Action for All of Us" campaign and the Town's "Be Part of It!" campaign recommend the following actions:
As part of Wellesley's Climate Action Plan, the Town also provides valuable information on local, state, and federal financial incentives and free one-on-one guidance from a Wellesley Energy Coach to help you get started.
The Town of Wellesley adopted a goal to reduce the town’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to net zero by 2050, in concert with the state of Massachusetts and the nation’s carbon neutrality goals. The Town’s Climate Action Plan (CAP) and Sustainable Mobility Plan (SMP) provide roadmaps for reaching this goal.
