Accident Reconstruction
The Wellesley Police Department has several officers certified in collision analysis and reconstruction.

Communications
The Emergency Communications Center (ECC) dispatches both the Wellesley Police Department and the Wellesley Fire Department and is, quite literally, the nerve center of the Town of Wellesley.

Criminal Investigation
The Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) is staffed by detectives and serves as the investigative arm of the department.

Honor Guard
The Wellesley Police Department Honor Guard consists of police officers who volunteer to represent the department during functions such as parades, inaugurations, official ceremonies, athletic events and funerals for law enforcement officers and other public figures.

Patrol
Patrol is the backbone of the Wellesley Police Department and is the most visible aspect of the job. The department has three shifts, which overlap during the course of a 24-hour period.

Records
The Records Division is responsible for the storage of all Wellesley Police reports.

Special Police
Wellesley Special Police Officers volunteer their time two weekend nights a month in patrol.

Warrant Apprehension
This team consists of four Wellesley Police Officers who are responsible for intake and follow up of arrest warrants assigned for service to the Wellesley Police Department.
