Long term disability insurance is insurance that will pay a portion of an employee’s salary if he or she is unable to work for more than 90 calendar days due to a non-work related accident, injury or illness. All benefit eligible employees receive the basic benefit (40% of monthly base pay with a maximum monthly payout of $1,250) at no cost. Additional coverage options are available.
